The roof had sarking felt on which is not breathable. This was causing condensation in the loft which lead to damp in the bedroom below. To help regulate the air temperature we added 4 slate vents on either side of the roof. There was also a large hole in the cast iron gutter so we replaced it with a profiled upvc gutter. There were also repairs carried out to the slates and the coping stones were re bedded and pointed.
