This small porch roof had originally been done in tiles. The extra weight had caused the roof to bow and the poor workmanship meant tiles were slipping off and the verge pointing was falling out.
To remedy the situation we took off the existing tiles, added a premium membrane and lathe batons and then welsh slate. The slate is lighter than the tiles on also matches the main house roof. So it was a win win situation. To finish the roof off we added a dry verge system. I’m sure you agree the roof looks a lot better now.
