The damaged slates had caused the water to penetrate onto the sarking felt. After ponding for a while it eventually dilapidates causing water ingress in the property. To repair the damage we had to strip out the slates, remove the laths and felt. Then we used a premium breathable membrane and 2×1 lath batons to repair the damage. It was then re slated replacing any that were damaged.
